Lighted Field
Information
Most lights are
turned on with a key. We have put a lock box next to these lights with a
combination of KEY.
1) Dial combination and remove key.
2) Insert key and turn on lights.
3) Put key back in lock box.
4) Take key out at the end of the game and turn off lights.
5) Put key back in lock box.
A shed or box is located at most sites. FCGSL field maintenance staff
should line the field before a game. If not feel free to use the
equipment to line the field. Rakes are available to fix up fields in the
event of rain. Do not rake or sweep mud or dirt onto grass. If a shed or
light box is locked or not available do not break into it. Call an FCGSL
director.
Parks:
South Run:

Lights will come on, and go off by remote control. One set of lights is
designed to stay on after the lights go off.
Wakefield Park:
Light box is located on the building wall on the Wakefield #2 side.
Lights will go off by timer.
Box with liner, lime, and rakes is behind backstop of field #1,2,4.
Schools:
Caffi 1 & 2:
Call Town of Vienna at 703-255-6352 to schedule games. Contact is Keith
Fees.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is behind 1st base dugout of Caffi 1.
Valve for infield sprinkler for Caffi 1 is in foul area by 1st base.
Valve for infield sprinkler for Caffi 2 is outside the fence by 3rd base
dugout.
Chantilly High School:
Light box is located behind the backstop.
Key is in lock box on the fence of the batting cage.
Knaap box is located down the right field line with a liner, lime and
rakes.
Edison High School:
Light box is the new gray electrical box right next to where the key is
kept.
Key is in the lock box on the 1st baseline fence.
Fall Church High School Varsity, JV, Baseball JV:
John Morris will turn the lights on and off. If there is a problem he
can be reached at 980-3226.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is behind backstop of field #1,2.
Box with liner, lime, and rakes is by the 3rd base dugout of field 3&4.
Herndon High School:
Light box is located behind the 1st base dugout.
Key is in lock box on the 1st base dugout.
Langston Hughes:
Valve for infield sprinkler is in foul area by 1st base. Knaap box
located down the 3rd base line has liner, lime, and rakes.
Madison High School:
Light box is located down the 1st base line.
Key is in lock box is in the 1st base dugout.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is behind 1st base dugout.
Oakton High School Varsity and JV field:
Light box is located down right field line of JV field. It is a green
box. Push lever to turn on lights. There is one lever for each set of
lights.
Key to the box is in lock box by the gate. The field person should leave
the light box unlocked.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is the red shed behind 1st base of Varsity field.
Valve for infield sprinkler for JV is in foul area by 1st base.
Valve for infield sprinkler for varsity is in foul area by 1st base.
Robinson High School:
Light box is located behind the 1st base dugout.
Key is in lock box on the fence of the 1st base dugout.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is down right field line.
South Lakes High School Varsity:
Light box is located down the left field line.
Key is in lock box on the fence closest to the light box.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is between Varsity and JV field.
Valve for infield sprinkler for Varsity is in foul area by 1st base.
South Lakes High School JV:
Light box is located behind the backstop.
Key is in lock box on the fence of the 3rd base dugout.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is between Varsity and JV field.
Valve for infield sprinkler for JV is in foul area by 3rd base.
Westfields High School:
Light box is located behind the backstop.
Key is in lock box on the backstop.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is down left field line.
West Springfield High School:
Light box is located down the left field line.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is on hill on the 1st base side.
Woodson High School:
Light box is located behind the backstop.
Key is in lock box on the shed next to the light box.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is behind backstop.
