Directions: I-66 to Rt 243 Nutley Rd towards Vienna,
Left on Rt. 123 and quick Right on James Madison Dr. to school. Fields are to
the right of school and around back.

Light box is located down the 1st base line.
Key is in lock box is in the 1st base dugout.
Shed with liner, lime, and rakes is behind 1st base dugout.
Varsity Field
Directions: Take Rt. 66 west to Nutley Street Route 243)
exit towards to Vienna. Follow Nutley to Main Street Rt. 123). Turn
left on Main Street and then make your first right at the Shell gas
station. School is straight back on James Madison Drive.
Parking: Plenty of parking is normally available in the school parking
lot. For the JV field or Louise Archer additional spaces are available at Louise
Archer Elementary. A small private parking lot (weekends and evenings only) is
across the street from the Town Property Yard on Nutley street.
Field Use:
Please provide routine daily maintenance upon completion of use. Game or practice!
(see FCGSL Guidelines for daily maintenance.)
An infield sprinkler system is located in foul play near the fence just beyond
thirdbase. Two-to-three revolutions under normal field conditions. The JV field
has a sprinkler in foul play near the entrance to the thirdbase dugout.
An infield mat-drag, rakes, shovels, liner etc. are located in the VGSL storage
shed on the side of the Madison Softball Press Box. Please feel free to borrow
the tools but make sure they are returned and the shed is locked after each use.
An electrical outlet is hot on the rightfield light pole for using a pitching
machine in the batters cage. There are pitching warmup stations available for
both home and visitors.
Please make sure that all trash is picked up in the dugouts and spectator areas.

A key to the VGSL Tool Shed is located in the lock box in the
firstbase dugout. Rakes, shovels, liner and supplies are available for use.
Please return all borrowed equipment and lock shed after each use.

Some fields are summer season or fall season use only. Others are permitted
only for one-to-two nights per week . While FCGSL may have limited use of
the fields ... we still have a vested interest in the fields condition and/or amenities.
At South Lakes, Edison and Madison High Schools you turn field lights on with a
key inserted in the access box shown above. There is no need for access to the electrical panel.
